Course
Description: Theatre Arts I is designed to give the student an
overall appreciation of theatre as a performing art, as well as
an introduction to production skills. It will acquaint the student
with basics of acting and improvisation through voice, body and
sensory explorations. In addition, the course will include the
fundamentals of play production, technical theatre, dramatic literature
and theatre history.
Theatre Arts III-IV
Prerequisite:
Theatre I, II
Syllabus
Course
Description: Theatre III-IV is a continuation of Theatre I-II.
Exploration of career opportunities in theatre and theatre related
fields and auditioning will be studied, as well as the production
process. Important literary works will be studied along with characterization,
physicality, vocal work and the continued development of the actors
instrument.
Theatre Productions
Prerequisite: Theatre I, II (AUDITION REQUIRED)
Syllabus
Theatre Productions is an honors theatre course. Exploration of
career opportunities in theatre and theatre related fields and
auditioning will be studied, as well as the production process.
. Important literary works will be studied along with characterization,
physicality, vocal work and the continued development of the actors
instrument. Educational theatre departments of university, college
and professional affiliations will also be examined for career
opportunities. This course is devised to prepare the student for
theatrical study at the university and professional level.

Tech Theatre I
This class teaches the fundamental skills necessary for basic
technical theatre.
Tech Theatre II
A continuation of Tech Theatre I. Construction and design will
be studied, as well a s the production process.
Tech Theatre Productions
A continuation of Tech Theatre II, technicians in this class gain
training for the professional world of technical theater.
