Theatre CampEmailPlano Sr. High School offers summer workshops and training in acting and technical theatre to our feeder schools. Typically scheduled for the last week in July, juniors from Plano Sr., students from Vines, Clark and Jasper High Schools, and eighth graders from Hendrick, Carpenter Schimelpfenig, Wilson and Haggard Middle Schools going into the 9th grade are offered the opportunity to study in a one week intensive theatre workshop where students study acting methods, dance, stage combat, auditioning techniques, technical theatre. As a final result of the camp each student performs in a one act play directed by former PSHS graduates who have continued to study theatre at the university level. RequirementsStudents must be incoming freshmen to Vines and Jasper High Schools. Starting in 2011, students from Clark High School may attend.Payment and registration must be recieved by the due date. Students on the wait list will be given the opportunity to attend if payment is not received.Only thirty acting students will be admitted on a first come first serve basis and all others will be put on a wait list.Only 8 technical theatre students will be taken and others will be placed on the wait list.
